The team in red

Not half bad, is it?

An excellent goalkeeper. Talent and experience in defense. An excellent and explosive midfield. And deadly young attackers.

With Gerrard as captain, of course.

I was just having fun with the Telegraph Fantasy Football application and this is the team I came up with. Mind you, it was not easy as there is a limit of £50m to spend.

But, once more, it’s not half bad, is it?

Arbeloa in DR position is yet to convince.;o)

Your two CM are world-class but who will play the holding midfielder role? Since both are attacking midfielders.

I would go for one attacking midfielder and one defensive say (Mascherano or Hargreaves). ;o)What you say?

    Cheers.

Arbeloa is a very good fullback. He knows how to defend and is not bad going forward. And he is still young.

As for Gerrard and Fabregas in central midfield, I also thought about who will have the defensive duty but I said to myself that they were both mobile enough to cover the whole of midfield. But it’s true that another formation would have been a 4-1-4-1 with Mascherano as DM and only Torres upfront.

Fantasy football is great, isn’t it?

Football Manager 2007 or FM2008 is even better.

The best manager simulation game ever.

I think it mounts on MAC also. ;o))

Have you played that game before?

Btw, good news for Arsenal rivals, they drew their match in hand.

    Cheers.

Of course, I knows about CM and FM being the football maniac that I am :-)

I have owned (i.e. bought at Amazon) at least three different versions over the years.

I stopped playing FM about 2 years ago though. I just felt that, after years and years of addiction, I had lost interest.

It’s now 2010 and I’ve started playing Football Manager again :-)
