Today, I am celebrating my three years of blogging
It all started on 16 March 2004 when I announced the creation of my blog powered at that time by Movabletype.
Since then a lot of things has happened. I’ve written 276 posts and received 1,367 comments. Thanks to all who have contributed to the discussions! Since then I have moved to Wordpress which is a much better blogging software.
I like to reread some of the things I have written because they are not that bad… Here are some of my posts which have generated a lot of passion:
- there-is-no-1gb-limit-on-myt-now (201 comments)
- what-about-using-french-or-creole-for-teaching (28 comments)
- announcing-the-cse-programming-contest (27 comments)
- wanadoo-livebox-to-be-launched-in-mauritius (27 comments)
- programming-at-google-and-in-class (26 comments)
- what-does-it-mean-to-be-mauritian (23 comments)
- kids-are-less-intelligent-now (21 comments)
- the-d-programming-language (21 comments)
- livebox-wi-fi-kubuntu-linux-amd64-bliss (20 comments)
Have fun (re)reading them

Thanks!
Yes, I’ll definitely organise a mega party for the 500th post! And, I’m still thinking of moving everything to wordpress.com because of the social network features which exist there…

Happy Birthday to you and your blog
wish you lots of visitors and enjoyment with lots of good experience……
what’s your secret to keep blogging for all these years?
since many have just give up this blogging but you seem to be fluent with it……
March 18th, 2007 at 15:43
My secret?
I suppose I like to tell people things that I know. That’s why I am a lecturer incidentally. And I’m lucky to like something that many of people like. It would have been tough blogging on, say, “les chevaliers de l’an mil du Lac de Paladru”… (who know’s this reference?)
March 18th, 2007 at 19:16
Happy Birthday blogging attitude
congrats for being a lecturer on permanent basis…
thought u already were no more on contract since long…
March 18th, 2007 at 20:10
I’ll take that as a compliment
March 19th, 2007 at 18:57
lolz. your archives wave has 3 peaks.
* March 2007
* February 2007
* January 2007
* December 2006
* November 2006
* October 2006
March 19th, 2007 at 19:07
you gotta hate the way wordpress parses the text for comments…
too bad you don’t have any plugin that allows visitors to edit their comments before they get approved…
each time i need to type < i heed to type <
so i meant by 3 peaks:
* March 2007
* February 2007
* January 2007
* December 2006
* November 2006
* October 2006 <–Peak3
* September 2006
* August 2006
* July 2006
* June 2006
* May 2006
* April 2006
* March 2006
* February 2006
* January 2006
* December 2005
* November 2005
* October 2005 <–Peak2
* September 2005
* August 2005
* July 2005
* June 2005
* May 2005
* April 2005
* March 2005
* February 2005
* January 2005
* December 2004
* November 2004
* October 2004 <–Peak1
* September 2004
* August 2004
* July 2004
* June 2004
* May 2004
* April 2004
* March 2004
3 peaks = years.
well actually, it’s 3 through because you started in March…
*could you edit the previous comment/merge those two together before you approve one?
March 19th, 2007 at 22:43
Yaasir, what do you mean by peaks?
March 19th, 2007 at 23:22
the archives menu on the right.. looks like it’s undulating.
and if you join March 2006 to March 2007 in a circular fashion, you get 3 complete “wavelengths”
…
never mind. I think too much.
March 20th, 2007 at 09:44
Now I understand!
But it’s true that you think too much
