Last night, Christina and I decided to stop watching Reacher after the last episode of Season 2.
Season 1 was quite marvellous with an interesting plot, very likeable characters (Roscoe, Finlay and Mosley, the barber) and the fact that everything seemed plausible. The plot was believable. The bad guys were humans turned bad because of money. And the good guys had principles and could get hurt. So they were cautious.
Fast forward to season 2 and everything goes downhill. The characters are less likeable, the plot becomes abysmal and nothing is plausible. For example, the level of violence becomes gratuitous with people being murdered in cold-blood by the actors in pretty much every episode. And the helicopter scenes in last episode are so unrealistic and boring…
Apparently, the 3rd season is still worse according to reviews read online!
So, to preserve our sanity, we are quitting Reacher. We should have quit after Season 1.
