Akiyoshi’s illusion pages

Today while cheking out for cool news on Slashdot, I found out about Akiyoshi Kitaoka’s magnificent (and somewhat frightening) illusion pages.

The rotating snakes you’re seeing are Akiyoshi’s creation. I hope you’re not feeling dizzy or sick… :-)

I feel a bit dizzy after staring at the image for a minute. LoL

The trick in that picture is that when you move your eyes you see it moving, But when you stare in way that your eyes wont move the picture won’t do so. I experienced it like that. I may be wrong because the picture is a gif. Am i right Avi?

  3. avinash says:

Personally, I can see things moving even when my eyes are stationary :-)

I’m MUCH younger than you, so i think my theory is right, even if its a gif image. And its only an ILLUSION (false impression of reality). So i “should be right”. Make other people test it and then you tell me.
