Today is my last day at the Centre d’Études Supérieures of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As from tomorrow, I’ll be at the University of Mauritius in the capacity of Lecturer in Computer Science.

According to Gordon Strachan, “Liverpool look the weakest link [among English football clubs] as Europe goes into knockouts”. I think he should have eaten his words :-)
Ha ! Ha ! Ha ! Ha !
Liverpool is the only team which has won, convincinly beating Bayen Leverkusen 3-1.
The other “superior” teams have all been beaten: Arsenal 3-1 by Bayen Munich, Manchester United 1-0 by Milan AC and, of course, the utterly negative Chelsea 2-1 by Barcelona.
Give Benitez his due: he is really transforming Liverpool !
Zidane is God !
Yesterday, Real Madrid beat Juventus by 1-0 in the Champions League and Zidane was magnificent.
For me, he is the best football player ever given that I’ve never seen Pélé nor Cryuff play and I was too young in 1986 to watch Maradona at his best.
Of course, I’m also really happy that Liverpool won against Bayen Leverkusen by 3-1.
Let’s hope for a Real Madrid-Liverpool final in some months :-)

Our car is being serviced
Our beloved Renault Mégane is being serviced for the first time at Leal. Owing to the high level of humidity in Mauritius right now, some irritating faults have developed in the car’s electronic system (no automatic wipers and intermitent failure of the auto lights). There are also some other little problems that need to be looked upon (some vibration in the exhaust pipe (I think) for instance). Fortunately, we won’t have to pay anything : the car is still under warranty…
But, all for all, after 6 months, we (Christina, the kids and I) are rather satisfied with the car. It is very very comformable and it looks nice :-)
