Vikash shines…

20040529-vikash.jpg

Vikash Dhorasoo was magnificent yesterday as the Mauritian football team drew 1-1 with Olympique de Marseille.

Vikash showed the 20,000 mauritians in the stadium why he is one great midfielder and is going to Milan AC.

By the way, there was a formidable traffic jam on the way to the stadium and we got in during half-time. We misses both goals :-)

But, the second half was great and, of course, we had our ravanne and Mauritian flags and we (Christian, Jyotish, Ashvin and myself) did a lot of noise as usual.

Deciding for a 4-door car…

20040515-megane4p.jpg

We’ve finally decided to buy a 4-door car (sedan) instead of a 5-door (hatchback). Currently, our favorite car is the new Renault Mégane II.

What do you think ?

Our next car ?

Christina and I (and Anya of course) are seriously thinking of buying a brand new Renault Mégane II.

The car has great handling, an excellent motor, a good level of equipment and lots of gadgets ! The design is somewhat peculiar (especially the rear) but we happen to like it :-)

What do you think of our choice ?

Visit to Saint Pierre, Reunion

20040513-saintpierre.jpg

We’ve just spent 5 days in Reunion Island and more specifically in the town of Saint Pierre. I had some teaching to do with degree-level students at the IUT.

Saint Pierre is exactly like in the picture : the roads are steep and full of cars :-) The food is rather excellent and we really love the carri ti-jacques boucané and the rougaille saucisses.

By the way, we laughed a lot yesterday when we realised that Anya’s first experience of public transportation is in fact the ATR-42 she took on Sunday !
